The past, present, and future

Many Taiwan doctors and nurses know how important great medical care is to children’s health. To make Taiwan’s general child healthcare even better, NTUH took a big step in planning and building a children’s hospital more than 25 years ago.

In March 1994, the Taiwan government allowed NTUH to build its children’s hospital (called National Taiwan University Children’s Hospital, NTUCH), and in July 2003, it allowed around 4 billion NT dollars to be spent on building it. They finished building the hospital in 2006 and the formal grand opening was on December 27, 2008.

NTUCH wants to combine all child-related healthcare, improve its clinics, continue research on children’s health, and support all doctors and nurses for children.
